Buying a Business in a bad economy!

Don't let the economic news keep you from acquiring a business. Some sectors are still strong, and some industries are suffering temporary setbacks. Look for opportunities! Concentrate on the long term profitability of a company and not the last 8-12 months. Businesses that have had strong financials prior to 2007, will probably rebound and become a great aquisition.

Look for motivated Sellers, who are willing to finance at least some portion of the deal. Work with a strong Broker that will take you past all of the red flags and let you concentrate on companies with strong future potential.

Remember, when the economy rebounds Sellers are going to want higher prices and will be less motivated. Be smart, look close and be thorough in your due diligence.
